I could hardly believe what I saw a few minutes ago when I checked my iGoogle homepage to quickly scan the headlines:

Nothing too crazy. Except this is the first time I can ever remember the top 3 headlines for CNN all being relatively positive news. Now when I click on the links, there are of course mixed opinions, positive and negative angles, etc. But in my search for a sign of turnaround in the economy, every little bit helps. This Fortune article, “Why Oil Prices Will Tank,” was interesting, and although I don’t really buy into it, I can hope. Although the rocky price of oil had two days of record jumps last week (back up to an all-time high) it had been slowly declining since Memorial Day. Maybe there’s a glimmer of hope that home sales will begin increasing again, that the economic stimulus will actually work, and that stocks will edge back up past 13,000. Maybe even having two definite candidates for November will help somehow. Who knows, I’m no expert. I’m just hoping. Maybe I can spit a bunch of stuff out and some of it will end up being right. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
