I have this fear of never coming up with anything super original myself. Only taking other people’s good ideas and spinning them or adding to them my own way. Just out of reach of ripping someone off, but fitting nicely under the “getting inspiration from” category. Completely fresh and original ideas are hard to come by. Anyways, I was thinking that because I was reminded of a site I came across where a dude had tracked everything he did over the year and had placed all the interesting information in well-designed statistical charts and graphs. During some free time at the beginning of 2008, I calculated a lot of information about my life in 2007. It was a whirlwind year for me. I thought about doing something similar with all this information, but decided it was too big of a rip off. Now I have an excuse to display some of this data, because the same dude has started an awesome web site called Daytum where you can statistically track whatever personal data you want. It’s still in private beta, but after submitting my info for an invitation a few weeks back, I was able to set up a page. I see this being something I get addicted to, especially when they lift the limit of 6 displays per account. My personal page is here.
