When I arrived in Charleston a year and a half ago, I needed a job and was hungry for more photography experience. I was fortunately able to snag a job at a local home and design magazine and discovered a niche that has made me a happy man: architectural photography. It’s one of those less popular lucrative skills I had been looking for, and when I found it, I dove in. There’s still a LOT to learn, but the hardest part is over. I’ve been working on a portfolio for a while and over Thanksgiving break, I finally made a separate web site. This site will be strictly for interior designers, architects, and builders. I realized quick that I needed a separate site to appear the most professional I can. I didn’t want to send someone to my main site and make them have to fish through emo photos of couches and TVs in the street to find the architecture section. I wanted a simple, easy to navigate site with big pictures and nothing extraneous. So here’s the site in case you feel like checking it out: www.costaphotography.net. It’s not done yet and it’ll probably be boring to you but I have high hopes for it in 2009.
